I went there for a solo trip and I got exactly what I was looking for. I never felt unsafe there. Mr Laiju and his wife are extremely warm and welcoming people and they took care of every little detail.

Care takers Sushma and Hari are just wonderful.

Sushma is an amazing cook. We loved the food served throughout our stay. Jackfruit seeds curry was my favorite. Sushma packed a few Jackfruit chips as well for our return journey.

Hari is an all rounder. He has amazing knowledge of the plants and trees in the farm.

The farm fruits are just delicious. We had avocados, Passion fruit, jackfruit, Pineapple, Guava, Carrots and the humble Banana.

The best part of the stay is the plant donation activity. We thoroughly enjoyed planting a Jamba plant.

The farm itself is a bio-diversity hotspot. I saw many new bird (close to 20) and plant species. Only regret I have is that I could not capture the birds. (Carry a good SLR camera if you love capturing birds and insects.) They are just vibrant. Whole day I was just listening to the sounds of these little birds.

There are very big nurseries close to the stay. If you enjoy visiting one, give it a try.

First day we found it a little difficult to adjust to the noise of Crickets. Got used to it from the second day.

It was a great decision to stay in the Green Gardens farm. Live close to the nature, soak in the sun, enjoy and relax your body and mind.

This surely feels like home the moment you enter and you are greeted by Sushma and Hari.

The food was so yum and feels homely at the same time.
We made bamboo straws,fresh juices from the fruits grown in the farm, cooking and a lot more.

I got to have,fresh coconut, mulberries, avacado, banana and rose apples.
I tasted white tea for the first time and now I am shifting to white from Green!
Hari helped me learn tree climbing.
I planted a clove tree 🙂
Had tea leaves plucking experience with some cute women.

Laiju Sir was available for me, encouraged me with everything I did and provided me with so many opportunities to explore in the farm.

Also, I love how the money you pay is utilized for the growth of the rural community.

I am a solo traveller. Auto driver Murli was there to pick me up and drop me to the bus stop late in the night waiting with me till I got into the bus.
I got to meet very warm and kind people in village.

There is so much to write about it, I would suggest you to just go and experience it yourself! It's a must have experience.

  I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. It is total magic. It will open your heart and mind. The flora and fauna are vast and interesting, there are fun critters running around the farm if you’re still enough to wait for them. The room was cools be quiet and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big! Laiju and his family were very helpful in setting up trips to town and helped me with everything I needed. I was traveling totally solo, and I couldn’t have felt safer honestly. And of course, my two sweet loves, Hari and Sushma, worked on the farm everyday and we became fast friends. They are both such gems, and were extremely accommodating. They showed me so much love and kindness, the language barrier really stopped mattering after a while. Oh and The food was absolutely delicious and fresh—like super fresh.

There are trails to walk throughout the farm, not to mention some lovely little village roads to run around. You will get lost in the vast array of fruit trees and crops. And if you’re lucky, Laiju will sell you some fresh coffee and black pepper to take home. Don’t miss your chance to do the pepper dance, either—it’s legendary.

Please do yourself a favor and stay here. Check out the organization, give it a go, and let your soul decide. It knows the way!

The hosts were super caring and helpful always responding to any questions or concerns that we had. The nature surrounding the airbnb is very lush providing many things to do and see. The airbnb also provided a food option of three meals a day and each of them were extremely fresh and delicious. One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent Kerala style food served at the farmstay. Despite the rustic setting, the accommodations were simple but comfortable.The room was clean and cozy, and it also featured a great verandah, which was perfect for enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. Laiju ji was very friendly and welcoming, and he made sure that we had everything needed to make our stay comfortable.

My advice would be to stay for at least 4 days ( more, weeks if you can) to connect with the place and relax. It is worth travelling to, but please ask Laiju on best way to get there as I took a awful sleeper bus that was quite traumatic! There are much better ways to get tho the farm.

Someone local cooked food for me three times a day which was wonderful and is also a great thing to do.

It is a place to relax and unwind and take walks. Highly recommended.

Bring books if you are in to them. And get up early 7 or even earlier, it’s a good time to sit outside.

Even outside the farm at less than 100 meters, there’s a tea plantation, coffee plantation, very beautiful roads to take a walk around. We stayed there for 4N/5D and it was a complete bliss.
I will list down what we really liked about our stay
1. The host Mr. Laiju is a very informative and helpful person, it makes the stay very smooth and likeable. He is one go-to person for everything you need in executing your trip like info related to places to visit, nearby eateries etc. Also, we were humbled when he hosted us to his place for lunch and prepared North Indian cuisine the way we like
2. The staffs inside the farm are very polite and sweet, though I could barely understand their language still, we communicated haha!
3. Waking up in the morning with birds chirping, fresh wind blowing and a hearty south Indian breakfast is something I am going to miss dearly.
4. Farm has fresh coconut water, fresh milk from the dairy inside the farm
Now, few things I would like to mention for guests who might not like it
1. This is a very normal homestay kinda thing so don’t expect much, like it has got bare minimum amenities inside the room. There will be one room and a bathroom for the guests
2. Food menu would be simple Kerala style cuisine
3. Sometimes, inside the room internet might not work but generally in the farm it works properly
So, basically this is a place for people who simply want to relax, eat simple desi food, connect with nature, admire cows, birds, trees, every creation of god and enjoy walking around lush greenery. Also, regarding sightseeing in Wayanad, we didn’t have any problem. Every place is accessible even if you don’t have your own vehicle, autos are there till Sulthan bathery (nearest market) and from there public transport/private cab options would be available.
